Teachers having inappropriate conduct with students is all the rage. Whether it’s 
female instructors having sex with underage boys and eventually marrying them, or male track coaches/personal trainers “relieving” themselves on one of their bright-eyed athletes, educators are clearly going wild.
One would believe that the administrators of higher learning would have picked up on the fact that getting down with the “student body” isn’t acceptable. Especially if somebody you work with already got busted.
Byron Eugene Coyle, 26, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of having an improper relationship with a 17-year-old female student. A state law passed in 2003 criminalizes sexual relationships between teachers and students even if the student has reached the state’s consensual age of 17 and agrees to the relationship.
See, that’s bad enough unto itself..This makes it worse:
In July, police arrested Carroll basketball coach William Randolph Sherman on a charge of sexual assault of a child. Mr. Sherman, 34, is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl.
To be fair to Mr. Sherman, according to court records, he has yet to be indicted for his incident. I can’t see Coyle getting off as easily since A) the accuser’s father is the one that took her to the police department to file the report, B) there’s evidence that he exchanged numerous text messages with the young lady, and C) the young lady is/was worried that she’s pregnant. If convicted Coyle faces 2 to 20 years in prison.
